Brooklyn by Falmec selected for ADI Design Index 2025
Brooklyn, the innovative extraction system by Falmec designed by Francesco Lucchese, has been selected to be included in the ADI Design Index 2025.
The prestigious yearbook promoted by the Osservatorio Permanente del Design (Permanent Design Observatory), an authoritative institution of the ADI (Association for Industrial Design), collects the most significant products of Italian industrial design every year, highlighting their creativity, functionality and production quality.
The official recognition of Brooklyn in the selection is the first step towards the awarding of the 2026 Compasso d’Oro Award, one of the most prestigious and ambitious international awards in the design field since 1954.
Brooklyn is another important new milestone for Falmec in terms of volume. It follows the Compasso d’Oro for the Spazio hood in 2020 and the ADI Design Index awarded to Light in 2022 and Monolith in 2023.
With its bridge structure, Brooklyn is a modular system consisting of a 90 cm hood module and 45cm, 60cm and 90cm side accessory modules that can accommodate a 4-glass holder and roll holder.
The structure can also be customised with a 60cm module with a rotating or fixed tap for maximum functionality of the entire island. Made from black satin-finish aluminium and smoked glass, Brooklyn is equipped with a powerful and silent brushless motor and functions that can be adjusted using touch controls, remotely with a radio control, or with the exclusive Dialogue System integrated in the Falmec hobs.
Completing the structure is dynamic, dimmable lighting that allows you to cook with maximum visual comfort while creating ambient kitchen atmosphere.
