Gypsum at Cersaie 2025
At Cersaie, in Bologne earlier this year, Gypsum unveiled “The Wall – The World of Gypsum in 5 Minutes”, an immersive installation conceived by Marco Merendi & Diego Vencato.
The project took visitors on a behind-the-scenes journey into the company, revealing its craftsmanship, collections, completed projects, and latest innovations.
An Italian company with an artisanal spirit, Gypsum was established from a deep passion for gypsum decoration. A manufacturer and consulting partner for companies and designers, with more than 50 years of experience in the construction sector, Gypsum creates architectural and design elements in gypsum, enhanced polystyrene, and high-performance concrete for both indoor and outdoor markets. Its offering ranges from tile collections and modular panel systems for the creation of vertical and horizontal surfaces, both in public and private spaces, to limitless design objects, unrestricted in shape and size.

Under the artistic direction of Marco Merendi and Diego Vencato, the company has made constant research into new materials and solutions its strength, with particular attention to production processes and sustainability. Its latest materials, Cementosmooth® and Cementoraw® (two new types of high-performance concrete), are both integrally coloured with natural oxides and are suitable for multiple indoor and outdoor applications in architecture and design. They share the same technical qualities, resistance to dirt, liquids, and external agents, but differ in their aesthetic character.

Cementosmooth® features a honed, smooth surface reminiscent of a river pebble, giving the material a refined and precious appearance.
Cementoraw® presents a rough, textured finish that emphasises the material’s most authentic and raw essence.
Also noteworthy is MOON, the new collection of three-dimensional tiles designed by Marco Merendi and Diego Vencato, which is noted for its innovative surface. It combines two different concrete textures: a smooth square base, crossed by fine grooves reminiscent of wax brushstrokes, and a three-dimensional central section with a rougher, more textured quality. This contrast gives the collection a unique visual depth, fully expressed through the play of light and shadow, enriching spaces with elegance and character.

From the LED wall that engages visitors with an emotional narrative to the large atelier table showcasing materials and collections, the stand at Cersaie conveys the breadth of the Gypsum world and the company’s desire to present it in its most authentic context.
